Yeah, mist.

Also, some random questions or thoughts from people to ponder:

- why is she killing herself with her little brother there?

- turn him into the penny instead of the raindrop?
- penny falls into water.
- and then it gets thrown back up into the mean guy's hand.

Notes from 6/27

So here are the notes from 6/27 I believe.  It was me, Jordyn, Brace, and Martin.  We came up with what we think is a decent final storyline, but it could still use some polishing.  Here are the notes, along with visuals from our meeting.

We will try to tell this story without dialogue or voice overs.  This will make our animation stand out a bit more and focusing on the pantomimes will be great practice for all of us.

TEXT DESCRIPTION:

- Opening scene: low point of view with the guy's boots splashing in the mud.
- We see 2 teenage guys walking towards the bridge with their backs to the camera.  Misty bridge in the distance.
- One guy is more of a pest than the other (let's call him Matt).  Matt is teasingly throwing coins over his shoulder while the other guy (let's call him Ted) warns him to stop.  Matt keeps throwing coins.
Coin-throw transition from Matt to little boy using the arc of their arms.
- Shot of sister and little brother together at the bridge.  We see older sister's arm on the little boy's shoulder as to establish relationship.  Backs are to camera.
- We see little boy tossing coins in.
- Little boy gets distracted and runs out of frame to either catch his hat, or catch a frog...etc.
- Girl is looking somber (contemplating suicide).
- Girl climbs up on bridge and is ready to jump.
- Kid gets up on bridge with girl and has a big smile on his face as if they're playing a fun game.
- Girl is startled and tries to help him down immediately.
- Kid foot slips.
- Kid starts falling and transitions into a raindrop.
Raindrop transition back to the two teenage guys.
- Raindrop falls on Matt's shoulder as he continues to cockily toss in coins.
- Matt looks over to Ted, but a shimmer catches his eye on the pavement behind Ted.
- Matt can barely make out the line of coins.
- Coin gets throw back up and hits Matt (or maybe Ted -- might be easier to see from the angle) on the head.
- They exchange a terrified look.
- Guys run away.
- Camera pans down to the line of coins, that are shimmering and flickering in the light.

Notes from 6/20

Hey all, here are the notes from last week so that we can all have them...
We decided on the thriller, so i'll just put the notes from that.

CLINTON RD, NJ
From Wiki: The ghost boy at the bridge: At one of the bridges over Clinton Brook near the reservoir, if you put a quarter in the middle of the road where the yellow line is, at midnight it will supposedly be promptly returned by the ghost of a boy who drowned while swimming below or had fallen in while sitting on the edge of the bridge. In some tellings an apparition is seen; in others the ghost pushes the teller into the water if he or she looks over the side of the bridge in order to save him from being run over as he was in life.

- Dead's Man Curve
- Babysitter is writing a suicide letter. Why?
- Boy is playing and giggling in the background. (eery feeling)
- Babysitter wants to commit suicide. She jumps while the boy isn't looking, but then he jumps in after her to save her.
- Little boy sees her trying to jump and asks, "What are you doing?"
- Maybe the whole thing is an accident? (According to some stories)
- Possibly use boys body as a cut to the next scene. Swipes.

CUT to car ride with the teenagers.
3 teenagers. Macho man, typical romantic girl, geeky little bro.

- Bubble in the ripple of the water at the very end. Is ghost of boy still there?
- Maybe the babysitter was lovestruck and that's why she wanted to kill herself. Or is there another reason? Family? School? Bullies, perhaps?

- 3 different stories from the teenagers in the car: they all have their own story depending on their personality.
- The geeky little brother somehow gets fused with the ghost boy... animal? Deer or moose antlers?

Questions:
- Why are the teenagers there?
- Why did the kid jump in after the babysitter?
- Did the kid fall in looking for his frog? And the babysitter went after him?
- Do we have them throwing coins so that a coin gets thrown back?

          - Legend has it, if you sit in the middle of the foundation by yourself at midnight, the building will form around you and Satan will appear. He will then ask for your soul.

So since we are doing a horror themed short, I'd thought I'd share this link for a feature film I saw on the Independent Film Channel a while back.  It is a collective of six scary stories done entirely in animation, though some of the stories are a bit cheesy, I recommend everyone try to check it out just to see the different styles used and how they portrayed mood.

Oh and this is awesome too, though I think it relates more to our bizarro story part.
